Relocating To Brickell Miami

The city of Miami was always one that interested me. I was born and spent most of my adult life in the Greater Northeast of the United State in New Jersey. In 2018 I finally decided to make to take a leap of faith and relocated down to Miami. I was looking for a new personal and professional challenges for myself, and Miami just seemed like the place to be. At that time, I had limited knowledge of the Miami area as a whole, but luckily I had a close friend who had already lived in Miami Beach for a few years. He had just relocated to Brickell, and made the recommendation to me as being the next best place to be. He mentioned that Brickell was a developing part of Miami that was more inland, and Miami Beach was becoming more congested with tourism from the influx of popularity.

I toured a few of the newer and popular condos in the Brickell area such as, Echo Brickell, SLS Brickell, 1010 Brickell and The Bond. Each one these Brickell condos had their own unique feel and experience to them, but in the end you can only choose one. Ultimately I ended up choosing Echo Brickell. At the time it was the newest of the Brickell luxury real estate. The building was very modern from the construction of the building, to the architectural layouts of the units, and as well as the technology that came with them. It was everything you would expect from Miami luxury real estate. I can certainly say looking back on the experience I definitely made the right choice.

Life In Brickell Miami

You can never go wrong waking up to the gorgeous weather in Miami, it is practically summer all year around. Everyday feels like a new adventure, and the city gives off an energy that is hard to describe. Life in Miami just feels better! One of the things I personally enjoy about the city are the options for morning walks. I’m sure if you ask anyone who lives in Brickell they will agree! You can walk along The Brickell Bay, Brickell Key, or Brickell Avenue to take in all the views as well as get some great exercise in. The city is very walker-friendly which puts you in very close proximities to pretty much all your necessities such as grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and gyms to name a few. If you are a pet lover, like many people are, Brickell is a VERY pet-friendly location to live. There are quite a few dog parks in the area to let your dog release all their built up energy with the other local dogs. Just beware, things can get a little feisty with that many dogs in one area lol.

Nightlife in Brickell is great too. There are an assortment of restaurants and bars that you can go to any night of the week and always be amongst the crowd. The city never sleeps and you will always have a great time regardless where you choose to go. Some of my personal favorites places in Brickell are Sugar Rooftop Bar & Lounge, Barsecco, EST.33 Thai Craft Brewery & Kitchen, and Komodo. With all the pros of living in Brickell Miami, there are also cons. I just want to be honest with my experiences living here, so anyone reading this will be aware. Everyday life in Brickell can take some time for people to adjust and may not be for everyone. It is a very diverse area, with many Cubans, Venezuelans, Brazilians, Colombians, Spaniards, and Russians. Many of the residents in the Brickell area speak Spanish as their first and sometimes only language, so communication in some instances my be a challenge if you don’t know some basics of the language. I personally took Spanish while in school growing up, so that was able to help me out to an extent. Also my current girlfriend is bi-lingual in Spanish and English, so that helps tremendously. Also with the large influx of people relocating to Brickell, traffic congestion and construction has gotten significantly worse year-over-year. Lastly, Brickell’s cost of living is on the high side, which to be honest is expected from any large major city in the United States these days. If you can afford to live here, it will definitely be worth it for you.

Professional Life In Brickell Miami

Professional life in Brickell is thriving as well. Brickell is the financial district of Miami, but is also the 2nd largest financial district in the United States. There are many large businesses here that are continuing to thrive and grow such as JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo. It was just announced that Microsoft is moving down to Brickell and occupying a large commercial space to expand their business! There are also many employment opportunities for young professionals as well as experienced professionals. It feels like a mini New York city and is the perfect combination of work and play.

Many entrepreneurs have found their way down to Miami and have become very successful in their business ventures. There is a great amount of hustle, passion, and energy in Miami that inspires and drives people to keep growing and bringing effective change to people’s lives. You will regularly see entrepreneurs in industries such as fitness, social media influencing, modeling, tech, Youtube, and E-commerce to name a few. The options are endless and Miami is the best place for the next great business idea!

It is definitely a change of pace and culture for anyone who is not familiar with latin cultural influences in their everyday life.
